About the Cryptography & Telecommunication Laboratory

Located in the Guttenberg Information Technology Building, Room 4111, the Cryptography & Telecommunication laboratory was founded by Professor Boris S. Verkhovsky to conduct advanced research in the field of Cryptography and Telecommunication Networks.
Equipped with many SUN stations and Pentium based computers, the lab offers a modern environment for Computer Science students to conduct projects, research and run computer experiments on a wide variety of topics related to cryptography and computer networks.
Among the many research topics conducted in the lab are projects on public-key cryptosystems, algorithms to enhance crypto-immunity of systems, elliptic curve cryptography, dynamic load distribution on communication networks, routing algorithms, acceleration of various calculations required in some of encryption algorithms, etc.
Besides the hardware/software component, the lab offers a vast variety of computer magazines & computer books for student reference.
All these resources combined, provide a great learning experience for the NJIT Computer Science students contributing at the same time to the advance of cryptography & computer networks fields.
